Stepping into the community centre. I'm fascinated by the setting, a style that I haven't seen for years. It's like time has stood still since some 20 years ago, when the Chiang's regime was still in power, when army soldiers still vowed to "terminate the evil communists" & "regain the Mainland territory", when school kids like me were still expected to bow to Dr. Sun Yat San & Chiang Kai Shek's portraits on important occasions.
Not to be mistaken as officially preserved heritage, though. This place remains in good form only due to villagers regular use. In the meantime, the old soldiers gradually fade away.
